I'll never wash my hands again!

So, I guess this post is more for the guys out there and the guy inside each of us... this is Kellen by the way. I won a photo contest at our school with a picture of the Grand Canyon that got me a ticket to a Phoenix Suns game with the team doctor who just happens to be in charge of our school. For those of you who don't know me that well, sitting court side at a game has been my dream since I was like, 4. Plus, my favorite team is the Suns, and they have some of my favorite players (Steve Nash, Shaq, Grant Hill, Leandro Barbosa...) so, needless to say, it was awesome!! Shaq scored 35 points which is amazing for someone as beefy as he is, and Stevo played great too.
So, these are the cool things that happened.

First of all, it was just awesome to be so close to the game and to see everything from right there (and feel the ground shake when Shaq fell) and then these are all the reasons I will never wash my hands again:
  • Amare Stoudemire grabbed my shoulders excitedly as Dr. Phelps and I walked under the stadium to grab some food (so I'll never wash that shirt again)
  • I shook hands with Steve Kerr and said hello and all that
  • And then, I hung around after the game for a bit so I stood like 5 feet away from Shaq and everybody else and then, when Steve Nash came by, I shook his hand and said that I thought he was great! He's got a grip by the way, holy smokes! Anyway, I love Steve Nash so that was just cool.
So, that's it I guess, it was the chance of a lifetime (hopefully I will have multiple once in a lifetime chances in my lifetime) and it was a good day. I am so grateful for Dr. Phelps for taking me too! He is such a nice, down to earth and just good man and doctor! I am really so impressed with him.

So, I put some pictures here and I will put the few pictures I took some other time.

Kellen... That is SO AWESOME! That is Brint's dream too. I was going to buy tickets to the Lakers game in March for him for Christmas but those are just WAY out of our price range! DANGE! anyway, what a cool story. Erin, I got my pan, thanks! :)

Kellen,
I just added one more reason to the list 'Reasons Why Kellen is my Hero List'. I am so happy that you got to experience the suns up close and personal. Did you tell Steve that you were Canadian? You should have taken him some nutella. Maybe you still can.
By the way, sweet pic. That is very nice, I just put it on my Christmas wish list.
Well, being health conscious I would recommend that you do in fact wash your hands; but before you do maybe you could take like a butter-knife or something and just scrape your hand residue into a ziplock bag and store it in a refrigerated space. You never know when it may come in handy.
Well once again congrats and thanks for the manly post.

Mark hasn't really gotten into the blogging thing, but I made him read this post and the next. We both thought it was pretty sweet. The next time i looked at the screen he was searching for game tickets... :) I think you inspired him.

I can tell you that both Travis and I are extremely jealous. The Suns are our favorite team and we love Stoudemire, Nash and Barbosa.
