Back

Well I have so many pictures from our trip to Canada, but first I have to catch up on a few pictures from before our trip.

I'm updating our blog from my spot here on our king size bed at the hotel we are staying at for the next couple of days.We haven't been back in our house yet because we came home to a lovely little thing called Mold. Last Wednesday we drove for a total of 15 hours and when we got home, we walked upstairs and saw that the toilet in our bathroom had been leaking while we were gone! There was water and mold covering half of the carpet in our room, all over baseboards, up the wall, the floor in our bathroom was warped from all the water, and the water had seeped into the garage ceiling where half of that was also covered in mold. Turns out (we found out a few days later) that our apartment was an environmental hazard and we are not to be in there until they've finished gutting the place which will hopefully be this Wednesday. We called some friends that night and stayed with them and now we're in Larkspur Landing for hopefully just a few more nights. Talk about crazy! I still can't hardly believe all of it. There are plastic doors covering our bedroom and garage that say, "Danger microbial hazard Keep Out". We'll see how things go...

So, I need to write about my horse. O.k., not my horse but a close friend:) I've been riding out at Cascade Stables in Auburn for the past six months and helping clean stalls. And I LOVE it. It has been such a perfect outlet for me and I'm excited to get back to it now that we're back. We took the kids out before we left and had some fun.

We started out with getting Timber ready to ride.

Cole would stand in front of the horses like this and say, "Hi. How are you horse?"

Then we went riding! Cole was so excited
(I don't know why I'm making this face?)

Cole even went by himself
 "Yee-HAW!"

The highlight for Gracie was the kitty.

Anytime we tried to put the cat down Gracie would fall apart, so I had to get one picture in of her post-sobbing face! She was so cute about it.

And the cat was amazing. Luckily it already had it's four year old owner to train it to calmly withstand any form of toddler love/torture!

The mini.

Lastly we took a ride on the horse walker-turned kids swing! The kids LOVE this thing. Haha, it's a great idea I think.

(I'm not sure why my vertical pictures won't upload vertically?  I'm trying to figure that out...)

Looks like you had some serious fun! And it sounds like you came home to an unwanted adventure... What can I do to help? Need a girls night? I do!

Cute pictures of you and the kids with the horse. I loved that idea (when you shared it with me on my blog). Too bad about the mold! Hope it gets cleaned up soon!

How fun Erin. I think it's so cool that you ride horses! That would be so fun to try!
