Star of the Week

Gracie was the star of the week last week in preschool. She got to create a board and talk about it at school. She put up pictures of our family, her grandparents, and baby pictures of her and Cole. I think part of her identity may be that she is Cole's sister, which makes sense. He's always been there. I remember when Cole did his board he didn't think to put up a picture of Gracie as a baby. Also, Gracie didn't ask to put a picture of Bea. I just thought it was interesting. So much of what Gracie does she looks to Cole for approval. I think it's a great thing, especially when it's coupled with encouraging Gracie to be aware of what things SHE approves of, and the things SHE wants. Cole is a great big brother - and she's a great sister to him. Anyway, off of the tangent.

Also, Cole was the student of the month last month! We had a breakfast with the other student of the months and with Mrs. Grubb the principal. I was kicking myself because I totally forgot my camera! I'll have to get one of Cole with Mrs Grubb later- she's an awesome principal, we really like her. Cole was nominated by his teacher because he gives 100% to all he does, he's respectful and he is helpful to his classmates. Pretty cool.
