These are a bit late, but this was a big week for us. There were a lot of ups and downs during this week....lots of nurses trying to get Cole to drink his fluids, eat his food, take his medications, draw his blood (poor guy had to get stuck with the needle almost every morning), pass gas, make it to the bathroom, and keep his spirits up. He was pretty low up until his third day there. The doctors thought they may have to do another surgery on him. But, thankfully that fourth day he started to look better. He acted more like himself, started eating and drinking. Yay! We were relieved.
All in all he felt that staying there wasn't too bad. He had several visitors and lots of gifts, so, that was pretty cool. Plus he got to play the xbox and the Wii. He was well taken care of there by all the nurses, doctors, and visiting friends!!
Wasn't excited about he wheel chair.
But then he learned how to do it himself!
