New Years in California!

So, I decided that I hate posting pictures on here because it takes so long! I think it takes longer because I post my pictures as medium size, so I think for this one I will post them as small.....we'll see if it's any better. Well, yes we went to California last week, and it was awesome! We went to Disneyland on New Year's Day (wouldn't recommend it because the crowds were insane!). But, we still had fun. And I think the best part was that all the Christmas decorations were still up, and Christmas celebrations were still going on-so fun! We loved it. We decided though that next time we go we are either going by ourselves (just me and Kellen), or we are going when all of our kids are at least 5 and we have a a six-day or so pass! Way more fun. I have to say taking Cole was stressful. Disneyland is an in-your-face type of place, and Cole just wasn't interested for the most part. We did have some adult time though, because my cousin that we stayed with volunteered to watch Cole for us, so she took him at about 4:30pm and we played at Disneyland until 11pm. The night was by far the most magical part with Mickey's Fantasmic!, and fake snow falling (i think they were bubbles actually), and the lighting of the castle. Just magical!

Our good friends, the Buehlers, came with us. This is them on the tram on the way to Disneyland. We were all so excited!
Us looking into the sun, with Walt and Mickey behind us:)
We watched the Christmas parade and saw lots of princesses, characters, and Santa

We waited in line to see Mickey. His house was way cool! Cole appreciated the opportunity to move around a bit. The Buehler's have our sweet picture with Mickey, so you'll all have to just imagine!
And of course we had to buy a princess crown at the princess store! I still have it, and have worn it since we've been home:)
Unfortunately, because I'm pregnant we couldn't go on too many rides, but we did see the two 3-D movies: "Honey I Shrunk the Audience", and "It's tough to be a bug". We thought we made pretty good 3-D nerds.
For dinner we ate at the Blue Bayou. OOooooo.
And last but certainly not least, we saw the fireworks, the lighting of the castle, and falling snow! Beautiful

One last look at the giant Disneyland Christmas tree.....

We loved Disneyland, and we also loved the beach! Kellen and I really do just love the beach and the ocean. We're excited that we get to live by it in Seattle! The day we went to the beach it was cloudy, foggy and cold but we still had a great time! Oh, I just loved it! It was so refreshing.

Kellen loves his Churro
Sarah bought a pearl and she got to pick her oyster! It was pretty cool
Crabs!
There were giant pelican-type birds everywhere just hangin' out with all the fishermen
We have a million pictures of this same view that Kellen has taken of me, so I thought I'd share it

Well, with this post I learned that there is a button when you're uploading pictures that says, "add another image". Yep, that made things a lot easier!! Sheesh.

Hey! Sorry I haven't commented in forever! Disneyland looks like so much fun. I spent 7 days in Disney world during Christmas and New Years 12 years ago and it was a blast. I hope your pregnancy is going well! That's just so fun! And did I hear you say Seattle? When and why are you guys going there? Where will you live exactly? Oh I'm so jealous! It's awesome there.
