Good Things are Happening Around Here

Good things #1 - I have worked out 5-6 days a week for the last three weeks! And I've kept my other goal of eating one salad a day. That's hard for me, but I have a trick that has really helped! (I wrote about it here)

#2 - Kellen is doing his OBGYN rotation. He wants to work in rural areas doing family practice and a little OB in there, so this rotation is especially applicable for him. Cool.

#3 - Got a book from the library called, "Things to do with your toddlers and twos". I never know what to do with my kids when it comes to being around the house. They're not old enough for the ideas that naturally come to mind for me. So, we do things from this book like putting rocks into a couple containers. And Gracie knows just what to do- sort and separate, and sort and separate....and sort and separate. Fun thing #1 from my book a success! Who knew rocks and containers could be so fun?

#4 - Cole has started to ask me to tell him stories. I love it! I usually do a fairy tale with a castle and kings and princes. Prince Cole, Prince uncle Brent, and Prince uncle Weston (and sometimes Queen Mom) have been the latest characters. They do things like have tree climbing contests in the forest, or they meet birds that will let them ride on their backs all the way up to the sun, or they have exciting sword fights that last for days. And they usually end with everyone suddenly going to sleep because I can't think of what else to add.

#5 - Whenever Gracie asks me for anything she'll add "mommy" at the end. "Snack, mommy?","Milk, mommy?","toothbrush, mommy?" I hardly ever say no...

#6 - I LOVE being called "mom" by these two kids
