"Oh somebody's had a birthday among our family dear..."  Cole turned four today!! We blew up a few balloons and hung up a happy birthday sign in his room while he slept last night. When he came into my room this morning he said:

"Mom, there's decorations in my room!"

"That's because it's your birthday today Cole!"

"Oh, wow. This is the best birthday ever!!!" 

Downstairs Cole opened a card from his grandparents and watched a video on my phone that Kellen made for him since he was going to be at work when Cole woke up. It was Kellen telling him happy birthday and that he loved him. 

Next we got ready for the day. Another conversation I had with Cole during that time: 

Me: "Cole you're four years old today!"

Cole: "Ya! I'm gonna tell all my friends!!"

We went to play group at the church where Cole wore his new Batman/Superman cape and told all his friends that he was four today. 

Went to IKEA for lunch. Afterward Cole (and Gracie!!) played in the balls. 

Drove around delivering invitations to Cole's birthday party on Saturday (which Cole would have helped with if he hadn't fallen asleep in the car)

Dad got to come home early from work! We sang to Cole and he opened his present. The only present that was ready for him to open today was the one from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen - A woody doll!!

We played games while dinner cooked. First "Don't Eat Pete!" and then Charades. 

Had dinner that included some of Cole's favorites: black beans, french fries, "chicken meatballs" (just normal meatballs but for some reason Kellen had him thinking they were chicken), and slices of cheese. 

After bath we skyped Grammie and Grumps and talked on the phone to Grandma and Grandpa. 

We love this guy! He is so fun and delightful to be around and we are so grateful for him. Happy fourth birthday Cole!!!

In his prayers tonight he said thanks for "the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints, the temple, my friends Logan and Ty, and for all the donuts in the world."
